Life the “Cowboy Way” - Hellyeah vocalist Chad Gray talks about second studio album Stampede
By Anthony Morgan
Issued on July 13th, 2010 by Epic Records, Stampede is the second studio album by American metal outfit Hellyeah. Yet again, production was handled by Sterling Winfield, vocalist Chad Gray (also of Mudvayne), and drummer Vinnie Paul (of Pantera and Damageplan fame). In its inaugural week of release, the full-length sold twenty-eight thousand copies in North America to debut at position eight on the Billboard 200. Stampede was preceded by the group's self-titled April 2007 debut, which went to position nine on that aforementioned chart. “Cowboy Way” was released as a digital single in the United Kingdom in November; the follow-up single to “Hell Of A Time”, includes the B-side “Hellyeah”, recorded live at the Nokia Theatre in Dallas, Texas.
